Theatrical, performer, always with a ready joke or a bandana on the forehead, Cristiano Tomei is an unconventional chef, starting from his formative path. No hotel schools or internships in star restaurants.
He arrived at the profession of self-taught cook after graduating in 1995 at the State Nautical Institute "Artiglio" in Viareggio and traveling with friends surfers around the world. If he learns from the family the basics of Italian cuisine, it is with trips that lead him to explore markets and try restaurants, which discovers the variety of the raw material.
Cristiano Tomei is known to the general public thanks to the frequent participations as guest of various television programs - from La Prova del Cuoco to Masterchef magazine.
